6am, an early wake-up call. Time to get up, GoPro ready, camera charged. We’re sailing the Great Barrier Reef! It had been more than a year since my last adventure on the reef so excited was an understatement for how I felt that morning.
The Great Barrier Reef is one of the wonders of the world. It’s reached the news quite a lot of over the last couple of years because of a few big bleaching events (where coral turns white and almost dies). There is so much to say about this amazing underwater world that I’ve decided to do a whole series on it! Today we’re going to explore what makes the reef so special. In the years before I started traveling I often got lost in a dreamworld of my favorite tv-shows or movies that would take me away to far away places.
