The Amsterdam Hotspot Guide
While spending time in Amsterdam for business and pleasure, I had the opportunity to really discover the city. During the new year I’ve been back for about three times. When I had the opportunity to stay for a longer period of time, I got the chance to get a proper feel of the city. It’s difficult to do that when you’re just visiting. Spending a couple of week at least gives you a little bit the feeling of living abroad for a short time.
Irrational Fears
While some people are afraid of the dentist, I have a thing with hairdressers and shoemakers. My fears originate in the fact that you’re trusting something important in the hands of a stranger. If they ruin your hair, you can look and feel terrible for months. If a shoemaker ruins your shoes, he can break your heart. Therefore I have been serial dater when it comes to hairdressers and shoemakers for ages.
Peter Pilotto for Target
The duo behind Peter Pilotto, who met at the Antwerp Fashion Academy, have gained worldwide recognition for their amazing play with patterns and colors. I love their designs and was pleased to find out that they have announced a collaboration with the American retailer Target.
Haider Ackermann In Film
Even before I started working for Ann Demeulemeester and Haider Ackermann I was a big fan of Haider’s work. This still continues so when I found this beautiful film, I had to share it. Haider Ackermann takes a trip back to Colombia, where he was born, with model Saskia de Brauw and director Vincent van de Wijngaard. I’m still hoping for the day that I find extra cash to buy a leather jacket from his collection.
Brighten The Winter With Yellow
When I was very little I was obsessed with the color yellow. I wanted everything yellow and most present that I got were teamed in that color. I lost sight of my favorite color (and cheated on it with blue) as I got older. But when choosing my yellow I Love Mr. Mittens beanie, I was reminded of the amazing effect of yellow.
