Route de France Instadiary

I just arrived back in Belgium and wanted to share the first part of my -almost- three week long France journey. I have to admit that I loved it so much it made it kind of hard to come back. My trip started out in Bonnieux with my gorgeous girlfriends, I fitted in a weekend in Paris and ended up more in the Indre province of France with my family, dogs and some fun airplanes. The highlights definitely were way too many wines with my girls, unexpected new friends along the way and 2 flight. A big thank you to Gert and Guillaume for taking me up in the air!

Festival Hopping at Couleur Café

During the weekends of Les Ardentes, Dour Festival and Tommorowland I’m usually in France just as this year. Festivals I would all love to visit but then again I don’t mind the view that I’m looking at right now. One of my bad habits is counting down to the next festival as soon as the most recent one finishes. Before the summer really started in Belgium and here in France it was time for Couleur Café (and Rock Werchter the weekend after). Zalando invited us to choose a festival outfit and join them to the festival. I knew immediately that I would wanted to wear the Bandit shorts from One Teaspoon. We got the full treatment with a ProNails manicure and professional hairstyling. We even got the chance to ride to the festival in this amazeballs vintage Volkswagen Samba bus. I never thought I would actually get the chance to ride in one! I have to admit that it felt a bit strange to dress up for a festival but I sure wouldn’t mind to have it more often. I would suggest joining me to Pukkelpop?

Hello From Cologne

A quick hello from Cologne before I completely crash in bed. I came here to see the city and the ‘Le Bloc’ festival with Thalys. Summer In Antwerp

Let me tell you about my wonderful weekend. As you might have noticed, I caved for the Birckenstock Arizonas but I really do love them! You know, when we have sunny weather in Belgium we just have to go outside. And the weather this weekend was kind of perfect and consequently also the rest of the weekend. Saturday I got the chance to see George Ezra play. I just love discovering new music. Of course I had heard of his current hit Budapest, but the rest of his set was even better. I had a bit of a music connesseur with me and we were both blown away. This boy (yes, he is only 20) was extremely charming, witty and had an amazing voice. My favorite songs of the set were ‘Cassy O’, ‘Be Lonely With Me’ and well … basically every other song.

The Birkenstock Dillema

When you spend as much time on the internet as me, you can’t help but notice the new Birkenstock inspired summer trend. I’ve never been the biggest fan of this type of sandal so I was a bit surprised when this shoe-trend took off. What surprised me even more is that I was really drawn toward looks incorporating this pretty-ugly shoe. My favorite outfits are in combination with ripped denim (go figure) or with a dress. Preferably with a little bit of leg showing, as this breaks the look.

Under The Cherry Blossom Tree

The blossoms of the cherry tree are one of the most beautiful things found in the city in the beginning of spring. When they were blooming I joined Paulien to take advantage of this beauty. I was lucky enough to also enjoy this beauty during the past few days when I was discovering the wine region of the Rhône valley of which you will be able to read more soon!
