Koh Phi Phi is such a gorgeous place on our planet that it deserves a post to itself. With my foot being messed up, I spoiled myself to a fancy hotel with a great view and a pool. I figured that if I couldn’t swim, I could put at least one half of my body in the water. I’m traveling trough Thailand in low season which means a bit of rain once and a while but most of all, just a fraction of the tourists. On an island where they give earplugs at check-in, I could hear the waves while laying in bed. And let’s face it, isn’t that just the best sound?
While the island has a beautiful view, going around Phi Phi Don and Phi Phi Ley by boat is truly stunning. With a little research I found what seems like the perfect option to go around the islands. “P.P. Sunset Tour” ( don’t hold me to the name) or a bigger boat accompanied by mellow reggea Thai that takes you to the same beaches as the other tours but they have kayaks to go the beaches and serve you the best veggie fried rice on the boat while you watch the sunset with zero other boats around you. The boat itself was also very empty so we could all put out feet up and enjoy the moment.
Currently I’m on my way from Koh Phi Phi to Koh Tao, my last stretch of this trip. Since I won’t be diving in the first couple of days, I’m not quite sure yet what I’ll be doing. I actually still have to take at least 1 yoga class while here.
P.S.: Pay no more than 350 bath for your ferry from Ao Nang to Koh Phi Phi. I stayed at the Bay View Hotel (ask for a room not to far from reception, otherwise you’re in for a walk)
