Riding on the train from Bangkok to Ayutthaya, a town consisting out of temple ruins north of Bangkok, I already wanted to share with you some images of my first solo trip on the road. It took me a little adjusting to BKK before I settled in. The first day, I was off to the Chatuchak weekend market. I ended up buying nothing, but I would like to find at least one beautiful silver necklace while here.
My second day was spent sightseeing at Wat Pho, Wat Phra Kaew and the palace. Yesterday I enjoyed a day in Chinatown and closed off the day having dinner and drinks with a Belgian friend at the amazing bar/restaurant Smith (which you can find more info about in Patricia’s post on BKK). The night got even beter when we decided to go to Sirocco sky bar to enjoy the tremendeous view.
After Ayutthaya, I’m taking the night train to Chiang Mai to meet some elephants and see some more temples. My first night train ever and I’m still traveling alone, so wish me a good night of not getting robbed!
